Dear Valued Patients and Dental Partners,

As you may be aware, the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO) has released recommended steps for its members to take. While some practices in Ontario may not accept these recommendations, we believe in light of the unique circumstances in Ontario, the RCDSO’s recommendations represent the appropriate actions to undertake for our practice.

I am writing to you personally to inform you that we have made the difficult but important decision to close Lenga Perio, as of March 16, 2020 to all elective and routine dental procedures (as well as continuing education courses) until the risk of transmission is lower.  We will continue to support patients for urgent and/or emergency care by form of virtual meetings, phone calls, and emails.

We will remain closed and support the efforts recommended by Ontario Public Health, the Ontario government and the City of Toronto to ensure that social/physical distancing has the best chances of lowering to rate of COVID-19 transmission.  We will continue to update you on the duration of our clinic’s closure and when we will be able to see patients again safely.

We also appreciate the significant inconvenience these measures will cause for our patient and referring offices, and we will continue to work with you and the appropriate authorities to mitigate the burden.
